Cruz, Fiorina, & Rubio Court the Energy Vote

Texas senator Ted Cruz was a guest of the OIPA in August when he said "If you look at the way the regulatory state is growing, it is out of control. It is a permanent branch of government: unelected bureaucrats. Just under Obamacare, there are over 20,000 pages of regulation. It's over seven feet tall." He said "If we come out of 2016 with a mandate, that's how you get major legislative change. You have to make it more politically risky to do the wrong thing than the right thing."

Cruz was introduced at the event by Rep. Jim Bridenstine, R-Tulsa, who endorsed Cruz and has gone as far as co-sponsoring the American Energy Renaissance Act with the Texas senator. Bridenstine said of his legislative partner "Ted Cruz is a leader among leaders. He is somebody that stands for what we all believe in in this room. I want to do everything I can to get this gentleman elected."

The Republican Party’s Surrender Politics

By Sen. Ted Cruz

September 23, 2015

What happens in politics when one side is absolutely committed to its principles, willing to fight for them no matter the cost, and the other side reflexively surrenders on every issue? We have modern-day Washington.

Today, President Barack Obama fights relentlessly for his liberal priorities. Like the Terminator, he never gives up, he never stops. And Republican leadership responds to every challenge by surrendering at the outset.

President Obama demands of Congress: fund all of Obamacare, with no changes to help the millions being hurt by that failed law, or he will veto funding for the entire federal government. And Republican leadership backs down. President Obama demands: fund his unconstitutional executive amnesty—or he will veto funding for the entire federal government. And Republican leadership backs down. President Obama demands: give $500 million in taxpayer money to Planned Parenthood, a private organization under criminal investigation—or he will veto funding for the entire federal government. And Republican leadership backs down.

Cruz Post-Debate Fundraising Haul Again Tops $1 Million…In Only 48 Hours

Grassroots Momentum Helps Cruz Top Previous Post-Debate Haul of $1M in 100 Hours

HOUSTON, Texas – In the first 48 hours following the second GOP presidential debate, the Cruz for President campaign has again seen a fundraising surge topping $1M in new monies raised.

The numbers are impressive:

  • Dollars Raised: $1,015,973.98
  • Donations: Over 15,000
  • Average online donation: $49.54
  • Pageviews: 273,140

“I am thrilled by the outpouring of financial support we’ve seen in such a short amount of time,” said Sen. Ted Cruz. “The American people are rising up and we are seeing an explosion of momentum. They want an outsider, someone who will stand up to career politicians from both parties and fight the Washington Cartel. They want real leadership from a consistent conservative, not a campaign conservative.”

Ted Cruz Has Been Leading the Fight Against Judicial Activism

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. – Ted Cruz has repeatedly fought to defend life and stand up for marriage when it has come under assault from activist judges.

“This week, we have twice seen Supreme Court Justices violating their judicial oaths. Yesterday, the Justices re-wrote Obamacare, yet again, in order to force this failed law on the American people. Today, the Court doubled down with a 5-4 opinion that undermines not just the definition of marriage, but the very foundations of our representative form of government. Both decisions were judicial activism, plain and simple. Both were lawless,” Cruz wrote in National Review.

On the substantive front, I have already introduced a constitutional amendment to preserve the authority of elected state legislatures to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman, and also legislation stripping the federal courts of jurisdiction over legal assaults on marriage. And the 2016 election has now been transformed into a referendum on Obamacare; in 2017, I believe, a Republican president will sign legislation finally repealing that disastrous law…

Ted Cruz Has Been Leading the Fight to Restore the Constitution and End Obama’s Overreach

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. – Ted Cruz has been on the front lines fighting to stop this administration’s lawless actions who have repeatedly undermined the rule of law.

“The Constitution designs a system of checks and balances for our nation, and executive amnesty for immigrants here illegally unilaterally decreed from the White House would seriously undermine the rule of law,” Cruz wrote in Politico.

Our founders repeatedly warned about the dangers of unlimited power within the executive branch; Congress should heed those words as the president threatens to grant amnesty to millions of people who have come to our country illegally.

“I'm all in for Ted Cruz”

(Austin, TX) Monday, Konni Burton endorsed Senator Ted Cruz in his presidential bid. The endorsement came on the heels of Senator Cruz’s formal announcement of his candidacy at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.

We need the next generation of conservative leaders to stand up and take our country back. I'm proud to stand with Ted Cruz in his effort to be our nation's next President.
