Colonel(Ret) Mike Ford was born on December 27, 1958 in Syracuse New York. He was commissioned into the Regular Army as a Second Lieutenant of Infantry upon graduation from the United States Military Academy in 1980.

COL(R) Ford is a graduate of the Infantry Officer’s Basic and Advance Courses, the Combined Arms Service Staff School and the Army’s Command & General Staff College. He is Air Assault qualified, a Senior Parachutist and an Honor Graduate of the Army Ranger School.
