Obama Admin Looks To Control Americans’ $19.4 Trillion In Retirement Accounts

Posted February 5, 2013

Remember that old phrase, “I’m from the government, and I’m here to help”? Well, it looks like we are hearing it again, at least on the issue of keeping Americans’ retirement funds safe. The U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is weighing whether it should take on a role in ‘helping’ Americans manage the $19.4 trillion they have put into retirement savings. This would be the agency’s first incursion into the investments of consumers.

“That’s one of the things we’ve been exploring and are interested in in terms of whether and what authority we have,” said bureau director Richard Cordray.

Kasich’s cave on Obamacare shows how hard it is to beat big government

Posted February 5, 2013

This [February 4, 2013] morning, Kasich announced he was joining four other Republican governors in agreeing to expand Medicaid under Obamacare and pass the bill on to federal taxpayers. “It makes great sense for the state of Ohio because it will allow us to provide greater care with our own dollars,” he said at a news conference, as reported by the Huffington Post’s Jeffrey Young.

Whatever justifications Kasich may give, the actual explanation for his embrace of the Medicaid expansion is political cowardice. Chastened by his failed attempt at public sector union reform and Obama’s victory in the state, Kasich is up for reelection next year. And he’s afraid to stand up to the inevitable onslaught of attacks from Democrats who would charge that he was refusing to accept free money to bring health care to poor Ohioans. The end result is that a politician who ran for office claiming to have been “in the Tea Party before there was a Tea Party” is now actively embracing a policy that the Tea Party movement was born to oppose.

The Snakes in the GOP Grass

Posted February 5, 2013

Over the weekend, the New York Times reported that the power players at American Crossroads are financing a new group to help fund candidates in the primaries who oppose conservatives. In light of their smashing success electing candidates like Tommy Thompson, Rick Berg, Denny Rehberg, George Allen, Heather Wilson, and Linda Lingle, they will expand their roadshow into the primaries during the next election cycle in search of the next candidate who is indistinguishable from his/her Democrat opponent.

In an Orwellian attempt to obfuscate their agenda, they will be naming their PAC “the Conservative Victory Project.”  They will never tell you how they plan to achieve conservative victory without running conservative candidates.

As I solicit feedback from grassroots Republicans throughout the country in preparation for the 2014 elections, I’m struck by the deep sense of pain and disquiet that has penetrated the very core of our base.  They are witnessing a rogue regime that is dismantling every aspect of this country they love so dearly – one limb at a time.  They watch helplessly as a malevolent administration, which harbors no respect for our Founders and Constitution, works to destroy our free markets, saddles our children with incorrigible debt, infringes upon our liberties, assaults our family values, erases our borders, appeases our enemies, and abrogates the rule of law.  Hence, they see the demise of our Republic, with only feeble resistance to those engendering the decline.

The values of our party’s base – the values that have made this country what it is today – are being labeled extreme by those who seek to implement their extreme views.

Rove Declares War on Tea Party

Posted January 4, 2013

The battle for the heart and soul of the Republican Party has begun. On one side is the Tea Party. On the other side stand Karl Rove and his establishment team, posing as tacticians while quietly undermining conservatism.

Yesterday, the New York Timesreported that the “biggest donors in the Republican Party” have joined forces with Karl Rove and Steven J. Law, president of American Crossroads, to create the Conservative Victory Project. The Times reports that this new group will dedicate itself to “recruit seasoned candidates and protect Senate incumbents from challenges by far-right conservatives and Tea Party enthusiasts who Republican leaders worry could complicate the party’s effort to win control of the Senate.” The group points to candidates like Christine O’Donnell in Delaware and Richard Mourdock in Indiana as examples of Tea Party primary picks going sideways in major Senatorial battles.

Thank God for American Crossroads and the Conservative Victory Project

Posted February 4, 2013 by Erick Erickson (RedState)

American Crossroads is creating a new Super PAC to crush conservatives, destroy the tea party, and put a bunch of squishes in Republican leadership positions. Thank God they are behind this. In 2012, they spent hundreds of millions of rich donors’ money and had jack to show for it.

It is interesting though. The people who brought us No Child Left Behind, Medicare Part D, TARP, the GM bailout, Harriet Miers, etc., etc., etc. are really hacked off that people have been rejecting them. In 2012, about the only successful Republican candidates were the ones who directly rejected the legacy of these people.

So now they will up their game. They don’t like being shut out. They blame the tea party and conservatives for their failure to win primaries. They’ll now try to match conservatives and, in the process, call themselves conservatives.

I dare say any candidate who gets this group’s support should be targeted for destruction by the conservative movement. They’ve made it really easy not to figure out who the terrible candidates will be in 2014.

Point, TX Police Chief Serena Booth Releases a Statement on the Second Amendment

Posted February 5, 2013

Point, TX Police Chief Serena Booth James Earl Jones reflects my feelings when he says, "The world is filled with violence. Because criminals carry guns, we decent law-abiding citizens should also have guns. Otherwise they will win and the decent people will lose."

I am pro-gun. I was raised around them, taught how to use and respect them.

So, do we seriously think that the "bad guys" will register or turn over their weapons? I think not. If we expect to reasonably protect our household, our family, our children, then we should expect gun ownership. We expect to stand on the 2nd Amendment.

If the 2nd Amendment is slighted, if you will, then what stops the federal government from deciding to "remove" other pieces of the United States Constitution?

The Constitution is a lot like the Holy Bible. It is not our place to pick and choose...to remove what we don't like just because it's a little uncomfortable or unpopular.

I'm not bringing a knife to a gun fight and I certainly don't expect others to.

East Tawakoni Police Chief Rick South Takes a Stand for the Constitution, U.S. and Texas!

Posted February 5, 2013

East Tawakoni Police Chief Rick South

Hi my name is Rick South; I’m the Chief of Police in East Tawakoni. Seems the big topic is about gun control and what we in law enforcement or what I would do as the Chief of Police if the federal government enforced federal law to confiscate weapons. First let’s take a look back in history; our forefathers took their time to write two documents called the U.S. Constitution and the Texas Constitution. They were written not to protect the Government but the citizens of this Country and this State. And they read like this:

The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution is the part of the United States Bill of Rights that protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms. It was adopted on December 15, 1791, along with the rest of the Bill of Rights.

The Texas Constitution states in Article 1. Bill of Rights Sec. 1: Texas is a free and independent State, subject to the Constitution of the United States; and the maintenance of our free institutions and perpetuity (A perpetuity is an annuity that has no end) of the Union depend upon the preservation of the right of local self-government unimpaired to all States.

The Most Dangerous Liberals in Texas

Posted January 4, 2013 - by George Rodriguez

While many Texas conservatives continue to focus on national issues, the two most dangerous liberals in the state, U.S. Congressman Joaquin Castro and San Antonio Mayor Julian Castor are laying the foundation to take over the state and to ascend to higher political office.

Last Sunday, (January 27, 2013) the Castro brothers were interviewed on CBS’ “Face the Nation” and predicted to a national TV audience that within two presidential election cycles, Texas would be dominated by the Democrats. “It's changing. It's going to become a 'purple state' then a 'blue state' because of the demographics, because of the population from folks coming from outside Texas,” Julián Castro said. Joaquín Castro agreed, but added that “it's going to take a lot of work from Democrats to lay the infrastructure for change. We are very busy working on that now.”

The key to the Castro’s vision and plan is “the demographics”. Their mother, Rosa Castro, was a member of the radical Raza Unida Party (RUP) in the 1970s which preached that America and Texas were the products of imperial aggression and colonialism imposed on Mexicans. Racial politics and “Chicano nationalism” are at the heart of their politics. Rosa Castro once stated that the defenders of the Alamo were “a bunch of drunks”.
The Castros now have a major ally in the Democratic Party. Henry Muñoz, a long time liberal fund political fund raiser in San Antonio, has been named chairman of the Party’s Finance Committee. Munoz's promotion shows that all the talk about taking Texas over is going a priority for the national Democratic Party. Since Munoz is already deeply involved in Texas Democratic Party politics, he can help fundraise nationally and help in ensuring Texas Democrats have funding for their state and local races in particular.

If you want to know how Mayor Castro governs, just look at the Texas Comptroller’s report on local debt from December 2012.  San Antonio has the highest per capita debt among major Texas cities, even leading Houston. In November, Castro pushed through a Pre-kinder education program for 4 year olds which carries a long term debt for tax payers.
Castro and VIA, chaired by Munoz, have also embarked on a streetcar project that will cost tax payers an estimated $790 million.

Castor also recently appointed a homosexual liaison to city government. These are just a few of the “indicators” of what is to come if the Castro twins continue unchallenged, and succeed.

The Castros come from the Saul Alinsky school of community organizing, similar to President Obama. They also come from a non-traditional home where they have been taught that the world’s poor are victims of capitalism, imperialism, and racism. If you like Barak Hussein Obama, you will love the Castro twins.

Voters in San Antonio, Bexar County and throughout Texas should sit up and take notice of the Castros and organize to stop them. They truly are the most dangerous liberals in Texas.

Questions & Answers About Texas Independence

Posted February 5, 2013

There are many questions regarding Texas independence that come up often and need to be addressed in order to separate fact from fiction. The Texas Nationalist Movement led by Daniel Miller has put together a compilation of those questions and the answers to them and we will be posting them here for your convenience.

Didn't the Civil War settle the issue of states leaving the Union?

For some it did. But this is the equivalent of saying that armed robbery is legal if the robber is successful in his crime. Just as robbery is morally and legally wrong and the violence initiated to achieve his goal is also morally and legally wrong, so is the use of violence to deny the fundamental right of self-government. Just like a victim of a robbery will work to reclaim their property, we will work to reclaim our right of self-determination and self-government. Only then will the issue be settled.

More FAQs at the Texas Nationalist Movement.
