Campaign Finance

We know what the evils of money can do to some people. So research and find out who you really want to support. Who are they, really? You need facts to make the right "judgment" call.

Find out where a candidate gets his/her campaign money and watch how they vote. Do we have the best politicians money can buy???

Constitutional Convention (Con Con)

In 1988, then Chief Justice Burger of the Supreme Court wrote of a modern day Constitutional Convention, “With George Washington as chairman, they were able to deliberate in total secrecy, with no press coverage and no leaks. A Constitutional Convention today would be a free-for-all for special interest groups, television coverage, and press speculation.” In the same letter he also wrote, “I have also repeatedly given my opinion that there is no effective way to limit or muzzle the actions of a Constitutional Convention. The Convention could make its own rules and set its own agenda. Congress might try to limit the Convention to one amendment or to one issue, but there is no way to assure that the Convention would obey. After a Convention is convened, it will be too late to stop the Convention if we don’t like its agenda.”

Dependence on Foreign Oil

With that staggering increase in gas prices, comes the ripple effect. Everything we consume is going to become more expensive because of the cost of fuel. This will include everything from food to clothing to durable goods; such was computers and washing machines. With Americans having to cut even more of their discretionary income to pay for fuel, we will see yet more Americans out of work and even more disruption to a soft economy. America must rid itself of its addiction and dependence on foreign oil!

Debt Ceiling - National Debt

America has figured it out. America has figured out that they can elect into office those who will give them the most. That is how the progressive movement has so infected politics in the United States. But where does Uncle Sam get the money to give away in order to buy votes? Quite simply, they take it. They take it from hard working Americans and hand it over to the unions and to others through entitlement programs. This has caused our national debt to spiral out of control and it has to be stopped while there is still time.

Obamacare Unconstitutional

Federalist Number 10, by James Madison, written in 1787 explains how our Republican form of government is designed to protect the liberty of the citizens from the will of factions, defined as a number of citizens, whether amounting to a majority or minority, united and actuated by some common interest adverse to the rights of other citizens or to the interests of the community.  If this characterizes a function of our Republican Government then how did we get Obamacare?

HB 297 Nullification - Texas

Nullification is the legal concept that States have the right to Nullify - i.e. refuse to enforce - unconstitutional Federal laws. In light of the recent passage of Obamacare (which forces citizens to purchase health insurance) and TSA naked scanning of airline passengers (which violates citizens' Fourth Amendment rights), Nullification as a remedy to federal tyranny is now more important than ever.

On Nov. 16, Texas Representative Leo Berman (R-Tyler) filed a bill in the Texas House of Representatives that would nullify federal health care legislation in the the Lone Star State. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) became law in the United States via much controversy, and accusations of illegality, bribery, and corruption. More than half the states have filed legal action against the law mainly for its overreaching interpretation of the commerce clause of the United States Constitution.

2nd Amendment Rights

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

On its face, the Second Amendment of the Constitution appears less specific and less clear than the First Amendment.  Some historical knowledge is necessary for a true understanding of our right to keep and bear Arms

Defending the Constitution

Many of us have sworn an oath to "defend the Constitution", but that begs the question, "how does an average Joe actually defend the Constitution?" We see politicians use the Constitution to wipe their feet, but what can we do about it? Please feel free to send us your thoughts and suggestions and we will publish your work here.
