Lead Us Not Into Temptation
The Disaster which is Obama Care is becoming obvious even to the left. Demands that Republicans fix it, delay it or replace it are coming from all quarters. It is not our job to do this and we would be foolish to try.
Any attempt on our part to fix it would put a Republican signature on a bill we rigorously opposed. Subsequently, anything which was to go wrong with Obama Care would be blamed on the Republican fix. I assure you, much will go wrong with Obama Care. Already Republicans in congress are suggesting various 'fixes' to the bill. We must avoid this temptation.

If Obama Wants to Stand by Obamacare, There Should Be No Delays
The Obama administration announced today that it would delay the start of next year's Obamacare open enrollment by one month, from October 15, 2014 to November 15, 2014—coincidentally shifting the event from two weeks before the 2014 midterm elections to two weeks after. But if the president is so confident that the controversial health care law will begin to function effectively, why would he feel the compulsion to delay?
A reason for this delay, according to the Department of Health and Human Services, is that it will provide "the benefit of more time to evaluate [customers'] experiences during the 2014 plan year" and leave room for more young people to sign up. Healthy people between ages 20 and 30 are a crucial part of ensuring premiums do not give way to a death spiral. HHS would also like to allow insurers more time to find a way to bring down premiums, which were supposed to decrease due to the provisions of the Affordable Care Act but in many cases have escalated.

Obama administration delays open enrollment for 2015
Obama administration officials have delayed the open enrollment period for purchasing coverage through health insurance exchanges for 2015, according to a Bloomberg report.
The move, which would postpone the start of open enrollment to Nov. 15, 2014 from Oct. 15, has both political and practical implications.
Politically, it would minimize the public awareness of potential rate hikes until after the 2014 midterm elections.
Practically, it would allow insurers more time to set rates.
As I reported previously, under the existing timeline, insurers were expected to submit rates by April 30 for the following calendar year.

Exclusive–Tea Party to Mitch McConnell: 'You Cannot Win Without Us'
Tea Party Express chairwoman Amy Kremer said it does not matter whether those "bullies" and "punch them in the nose" remarks McConnell made on the call were specifically aimed at Senate Conservatives Fund or whether they were general to the grassroots movement; the conclusion Tea Partiers should take away is the same.
"An attack on SCF or any Tea Party organization or Ted Cruz or Mike Lee is an attack on all of us," Kremer said in a phone interview Friday afternoon.

Democrats trigger 'nuclear option' to eliminate many filibusters
Harry Reid and Senate Democrats used the so-called "nuclear option" to change the chamber's long-standing rules and eliminate filibusters of presidential nominees, in a move that could further erode whatever cooperative mood was left in Washington.
