Please Read Dear Tea Party 911 Reader, As your editor I must apologize. We suffered a major computer crash and certain file protocols were improperly restored. Most of our August content was lost. We depend on our readers for much of our content and we value the time you invest when you send us articles and videos. We were overwhelmed with the quantity and quality of this month's submissions. Much of this month's content was centered on the toxic debt debate in congress. I experience a personal sense of loss over the many quality articles which disappeared. From Moses to Mom's, many of you offered well considered debt reduction plans of your own. Some included considerable specificity. Some were superior to many plans emanating from congress and the administration. By the next issue, this problem will either have been resolved or will inspire new articles. However, Tea Party 911 is following two subjects in particular which are of the utmost importance. Agenda 21 and the forces determined to drive this great country ever leftward are two subjects which warrant all of our attention. Dear reader, if you had sent us content relating to either of these issues would you mind resubmitting them to us. We would be grateful and more important; you will have placed this content in the hands of thousands of concerned citizens. Thank you for understanding. The White House has threatened to veto each of these. The President's feeble attempt at a plan was rejected unanimously by Senate Democrats; they said NO. The President has offered NO plan since then. The Senate has offered NO plan either. And isn't a veto a NO. So why do we allow the Republicans to be called the party of NO. Tea Party & Jobs "I'm a Patriot" Song by Becky Kern-Taylor This song brings out the meaning and value to those principles we hold true - to those words we cling to - to our FREEDOM. I'm a Patriot! The CD has two tracks - one with vocals, the other without so your vocalist can sing it live. Patriot of the Month Most Americans are patriots. But you would have to look long and hard to find anyone who loves his country more than the August Patriot of the Month. This individual doesn't just talk about it, he lives it 24/7, 365 days a year. With boundless optimism, enthusiasm, and zeal, he works tirelessly in defense of America, any time, anywhere, and with anyone. Like all good generals, he fights to win. The Kaufman County Tea Party has been immeasurably enriched by his leadership. Those of us fortunate enough to know and work with him are inspired by his devotion to country. He is more than generous with his time, energy, and resources in the war against socialism--and a RINO's worst nightmare! This patriot understands the great danger our nation is in better than most, and lives to defeat Barak Obama in 2012. "Quitting" is not in his vocabulary, and definitely not an option. We suspect that even while asleep, he torments liberals, and dreams of their certain downfall. His is an example to follow, IF you can keep up with him. A Correction: Last month, along with numerous quality submissions, Don Cook interjected the following quote: Thomas Jefferson said in 1802: "I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property - until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered." Ken Ashby writes: I don't know who Don Cook is, but Thomas Jefferson never uttered the quote above, which has been floating around for nearly 75 years. What Jefferson actually wrote, in 1816, was, "And I sincerely believe, with you, that banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies; and that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on a large scale." We appreciate the correction. Tea Party 911 strives for accuracy. In Don's defense, this misquote is found all over the internet. So too is the correction. Much of it is cobbled together from other writings of Jefferson and a couple of words, unknown in Jefferson's day, were tossed in by some well meaning person who apparently does not share Ken's rigor for history. Ken was right to make the correction. History is not to be trifled with. Nor is Don to be discouraged. Tea Party 911 would be considerably thinner if not for his contributions. We would all suffer.
