Bill Maher to host Hollywood gala celebrating the American Recession

On 8 June 2018, Bill Maher told his studio audience this:
“I feel like the bottom has to fall out at some point. And by the way, I’m hoping for it. Because I think one way you get rid of Trump is a crashing economy. So please, bring on the recession. Sorry if that hurts people, but it’s either root for a recession or you lose your democracy.”
Now that his hopes are moving toward fulfillment of his wish, Maher has announced he will host, on July 4, 2020, a gala event in the Hollywood Bowl, to celebrate the arrival of an American Recession thanks to the COVID-19 virus.
Many Hollywood celebrities will attend, including, but not limited to: George Clooney; Jennifer Lawrence; Emma Watson; Eminem; Madonna; Robert De Niro; and Jane Fonda.
Musicians scheduled to perform include: Adele, Belly, Brujeria, Cher, Demi Lovato, Ellie Goudling, and John Legend. Also scheduled to perform is a one-time, pick-up band made up of unannounced A-star musicians that will convene just for the night, called “The Loose Brains”.
A free will collection will be taken up for the now out-of-work cast of the Broadway production of Hamilton. The recommended gift – since this is a non-profit event – will be $199 per adult, the base price of a Hamilton ticket on Broadway. Children are free.
Guest speakers for the event are scheduled to be celebrity Doctors Brix and Fauci, who led the effort to shut-down the US economy by sequestering citizens in their homes, apartments, condos, cars or tents, only for their own protection, of course.
The event is scheduled to last three hours. It’s BWOB and roll-your-own Cambodian Red for adults or children accompanied by adults.
