Ernie Souchak is Editor-in-Chief of IllinoisPaytoPlay, a Chicago-based website that focuses on government and business corruption in and around the Chicago area. The site has, most recently, been examining the continuing courtroom battles involving alleged misbehaviors committed by former Speaker of the House Denny Hastert, as well as allegations surrounding the alleged mishandling of asbestos on properties owned by Chicago-based United Airlines, a company recently noted for its repeated canine abuse. Among other stories in the past it provided the most thorough and accurate media coverage of the pursuit and prosecution of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, and of Scoters Libby in Plamegate.
