Mt Pleasant Tea Party Patriots

The Mt Pleasant Tea Party Patriots is a group located in Titus County Texas that began forming after Mt. Pleasant’s first Tea Party rally on July 4th, 2009. This non-partisan group is the voice of the east Texas Tea Party Movement in Titus County and the surrounding area including the cities of Miller’s Cove, Mount Pleasant, Talco, and Winfield, Texas.

The mission of the Mt Pleasant Tea Party Patriots is to hold elected officials accountable to their sworn duty of upholding and defending the United States Constitution, to support conservative fiscal responsibility, and to limit the federal government to the scope of powers expressly given to it by the US Constitution as set forth in the Federalist Papers written by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay. The intention of the Mount Pleasant Patriots is to accomplish this by informing Americans in the area of Titus County Texas with information on current issues, information on pending legislation, and with recommended resources to educate its members on subjects such as the United States Constitution, America’s founders, and American history.
