Yes, America, We Have A Dictator

The handshake between Barack Hussein Obama and Raul Castro that is drawing oohs and aahs from the left came as no surprise to me. It was a congratulatory handshake from one dictator to another. The time has come for us to open our little minds and grasp the whole truth of what has transpired in this country and realize that, “Yes, America, We have a Dictator”.

We are living under the tyranny of a man who sees himself as the equivalent of Castro, the late Hugo Chavez,  and the Kings and Emperors to whom he bows.  While it’s easy to blame Obama and the far left, his rise to power could not have been achieved without the help of the Republicans in Congress.  The premier “aide-de-camp” to the Obama dictatorship has been none other than Sen. Mitch McConnell, the Minority leader of the Senate during the five years of Obama’s reign.

Boehner: Amnesty After GOP Primary Filing Deadlines

A new report from the Texas-based Quorum Report, published by longtime Texas journalist Harvey Kronberg, says that House Speaker John Boehner plans to push amnesty legislation through the House, after the primary filing deadline for candidates. The move would prevent Tea Party from challenging GOP lawmakers who support amnesty in 2014.

Scott Braddock reported on Tuesday that “in recent weeks, various Texas business interests have told Quorum Report that Boehner has been telling them that he will start holding immigration votes not long after the filing deadline has passed.”

Braddock noted that those business community sources spoke with him “on condition of anonymity because their conversations were held behind closed doors and they added it wasn’t made clear to them just how confidential the information was meant to be.”

Cruz: Reid Decision To Exempt Staff From Obamacare Latest Example of Washington Disconnect

HOUSTON, TX -- U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) released the following statement on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's (D-Nev.) decision to exempt staff members from Obamacare exchanges:

"Sen. Reid's decision to exempt his staff from Obamacare exchanges is the clearest example yet of Obamacare's failures and Washington hypocrisy. His staff worked to pass it and continue to promote it, now they don't want to be part of it because it's a disaster. No one wants to lose their plans, pay higher premiums, higher deductibles, and have healthcare choices taken away from them. But, by passing Obamacare that’s exactly what Leader Reid and his staff did to millions of Americans. Now they understandably don't want to live with it. The only fair path forward is to repeal Obamacare, in its in entirety, for everyone."

After Obamacare, ObamaCar Insurance?

The rollout of ObamaCare is, once again, displaying the federal government's adeptness at managing complexity -- a capability already illustrated by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Amtrak (FUBAR), and the United States Postal Service (USPS).  Given the extraordinary rollout of ObamaCare, it's time to start moving toward single-payer auto insurance.

Here are two reasons why.

First, auto insurance companies offer a mind-boggling array of pricing options. Their nationwide, indecipherable rate structure cries out for the keen, coordinating skills of the Washington D.C. central planners.

Second, the spread of telematics applied to vehicle tracking will offer the federal government new surveillance and revenue enhancement opportunities.

Between 1989 and 2010, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) reported a national average increase of 43.3% in auto insurance rates. (By the way, the new NAIC CEO -- essentially a lobbyist job -- is former Nebraska Senator Ben "Cornhusker Kickback" Nelson.)

House extends ban on non-metal guns

"In our view, this bill is not perfect," Israel said. "I'd have preferred to modernize the Undetectable Firearms Act, to eliminate some loopholes in the law by requiring that certain metal components be permanent, or not easily removed.

"But frankly, I believe that even a loophole in a law is better than no loophole at all. A loophole can be closed down the line."

On Monday, Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) said the House will was not good enough, and said he would look to pass legislation in the Senate next week that is similar to Israel's proposal.

But timing seems to be working against the Senate. Senators return on Dec. 9, the same day current law expires. That means even if the Senate can act that day, it would set up more work between the House and Senate on this issue.

After the House vote, Rep. Tom Massie (R-Ky.) said the bill passed with just 10 members on the floor, and said he was the only "no" vote on the floor at the time.

Dems Are the Out-of-Touch Extremists

Politics: We keep hearing about how the Republican Party is full of radical Tea Party crazies. But our latest IBD/TIPP Poll shows that it's Democrats who are out of touch with reality and well outside the mainstream.

The public overwhelmingly believes the country is headed in the wrong direction, that current economic policies aren't working, that President Obama is doing a bad job, that government should be smaller and that ObamaCare should be repealed. But not Democrats.

On issue after issue, in fact, Democrats are the outliers by wide margins, according to an analysis of the December IBD/TIPP survey.

They are, by and large, Pollyanna-ish about the economy, they can see no evil when it comes to Obama or ObamaCare, and they are extremists when it comes to the size and role of the federal government.

Exclusive -- McConnell: Tea Party 'Bullies' Who Need Punch in Nose

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said on a conference call organized by Karl Rove’s Crossroads organization for large donors and their advisers on Oct. 30 that the Tea Party movement, in his view, is a “nothing but a bunch of bullies” that he plans to “punch … in the nose.”

On the call, according to a donor who was on it, McConnell personally named Sens. Mike Lee (R-UT) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) as Tea Party conservatives he views as problematic for him. “The bulk of it was an attack on the Tea Party in general, Cruz in particular,” the source, a prominent donor, said in a phone interview with Breitbart News.

But the most memorable line came at the end of the call.

“McConnell said the Tea Party was ‘nothing but a bunch of bullies,’” the source said. “And he said ‘you know how you deal with schoolyard bullies? You punch them in the nose and that’s what we’re going to do.’”

Rove, as well as American Crossroads President and CEO Steven J. Law who also serves as the president of sister group Crossroads GPS, were also on the call. Rove “talked in a slightly gentler way, or let’s say, a more diplomatic way,” the source said. “But the message was pretty well the same: That if we’re going to save this thing, we have to back real Republicans.”

A week to go down in Texas drunk driving history!

What a week in Texas drunk driving history! As many express reactions from disbelief to outrage over the sentence of 10 years’ probation assessed Tuesday in a Fort Worth courtroom for 16-year-old Ethan Couch who killed four people while driving drunk, this development seems in step as the next day, San Antonio visiting Judge David Peeples ruled Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg should remain in her position as the county’s top felony prosecutor which includes oversight of the state’s Public Integrity Unit.

TX: Former San Antonio City Official Fights Corruption

Former San Antonio Telecommunications Manager John E. Foddrill, Sr., recently broke his self-imposed media blackout. He had imposed the blackout under advisement from his lawyers due to a pending federal court case. However, recent events made him realize he could not stay silent any longer. He has resumed providing interviews and documentation to the media hoping to shed some sunlight onto allegations of corruption at the city, county and state government levels.

TX: With primary ahead, Lehmberg hearing reminds of Forgiveness Doctrine, county officials’ ‘free pass’ for misconduct

The removal from office hearing of Travis County DA Rosemary Lehmberg is underway. San Antonio visiting Judge David Peeples is in charge of the proceeding to determine if the April DWI arrest and conviction of Travis County’s top law enforcement official disqualifies her from remaining in office. Meanwhile, the case also today provided a reminder of the Forgiveness Doctrine, a Texas statute which wipes clean with re-election county officials’ conduct slates.

Texas TEA Party Leader Endorses Konni Burton for Texas Senate

Sulphur Springs, TX, December 5, 2013 -- In a surprise announcement today, TEAParty911.com’s founder, Michael Kinzie, announced his personal endorsement of Konni Burton for Texas Senate District 10 in Tarrant County.

Kinzie is known as someone who rarely gives his personal endorsement, reserving it for those candidates who have exhibited the strongest conservative conviction.

Kinzie endorsed Konni saying, “Konni Burton is a proven conservative fighter. Conservatives in Texas should all be rallying behind Konni Burton’s campaign. We have an opportunity to actually gain ground in a year that Democrats are attempting a resurgence. I’m excited to join so many of other conservative leaders in supporting Konni’s campaign.”

Konni Burton has announced a multitude of conservative endorsements, many from tea party and conservative leaders in District 10. Kinzie added his name to a long list of conservatives including State Representative Jonathan Stickland, Tim Lambert and many tea party and 9/12 leaders.

More endorsements are listed here: (http://konniburton.com/2013/08/tea-party-and-912-endorses-konni-burton/)

Kinzie concluded his statement with, “This seat is a must-win for conservatives and Konni Burton is the clear conservative choice. I look forward to campaigning for her this election cycle.”

Texas Lieutenant Governor Candidate Dan Patrick Rated MOST CONSERVATIVE State Senator by Rice University's Mark P Jones

No Surprise here. State Senator Dan Patrick, candidate for Texas Lieutenant Governor, has been rated as the MOST conservative State Senator in all of Texas for the most recent 2013 legislative session.

Dan Patrick is vying in the March 2014 Republican Primary election to be the leader of the Texas State Senate, the LT Governor. In Texas, if you are going to run for statewide office, you have to at least be able to present yourself as super conservative. Dan Patrick does not have to just present himself as the most conservative in the Texas Senate. He IS the most conservative, at least that is according to Rice University's Mark P. Jones in his most recent ranking of Texas State Senators from the 2013 Texas Legislative Session.

Texas Navigators exposed in O'Keefe videos won't face government action

Lee Cary

It looks like the Obamacare navigators captured on videotape telling applicants to lie about their income by James O'Keefe's Project Veritas will face no consequences from any governmental authorities. Eric Holder's Department of Justice, which wouldn't prosecute club-wielding Black Panthers at polling places will obviously do nothing. And Texas state authorities, where the videotapes were made, claim to haveno jurisdiction over Navigator behavior in Texas.

If you call Governor Rick Perry's office, Lt. Governor David Dewhurst's office, Attorney General Greg Abbott's office, Speaker of the Texas House Joe Straus' office, Texas State Senator Jane Nelson's office - Chair of the Senate Health & Human Services, and a few other officials and ask if the State of Texas is preparing any official response to the actions of Navigators employed by organizations in Texas contracted by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), they'll perform a verbal shoulder shrug, or say someone will call back, but most don't.

But, if you call the TDI hot line several times, eventually you'll be lucky enough to reach someone in the Consumer Protection Division who takes the time to admit that the state has no jurisdiction, and give a clear explanation of why.

The Navigators are neither licensed by the TDI, nor are they subject to regulations that define their training, because there are no regulations, anywhere. Their primary Navigator qualification to give insurance advice to Obamacare clients is the ability to fog a mirror.

Department of Education civil rights investigators descend on a West Texas school

By Lee Cary

Recently, U.S. Department of Education officials visited a West Texas town to investigate its public schools.

The investigators were from the Education Department's (DoED) Office for Civil Rights (OCR).

"The mission of the Office for Civil Rights is to ensure equal access to education and to promote educational excellence throughout the nation through vigorous enforcement of civil rights."

The DoED Secretary is Arne Duncan - former CEO of the Chicago Public Schools, a basketball buddy of then Illinois Senator Barack Obama in Chicago, and the federal official featured in a  Washington Post November 16, 2013 article:

"U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan told a group of state schools superintendents Friday that he found it 'fascinating' that some of the opposition to the Common Core State Standards has come from 'white suburban moms who - all of a sudden - their child isn't as brilliant as they thought they were, and their school isn't quite as good as they thought they were.'"

Common Core State Standards have been adopted by 45 states and the District of Columbia. They've not been adopted by Texas. But, there is a struggle underway in the state concerning another Common Core-type progressive-driven initiative. More on that ahead.

Meanwhile, the political temperature in Texas is heating up in preparation for the 2014 midterm elections as operatives for the progressive campaign called Battleground Texas link-up with Obamacare Navigators to lay the groundwork to promote Democrat election victories across the state. James O'Keefe's third, and most recent, video chronicles coordination between the Navigators and Battleground Texas operatives.

Republican Challenger for Texas State Senate, District 2, files complaint against Navigators with Texas Department of Insurance

Today, Robert Lee “Bob” Hall, a challenger in the Republican primary for District 2, Texas State Senate, filed a complaint with the Texas Department of Insurance concerning ObamaCare Navigator organizations working in Texas under contract to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Hall’s complaint comes in the wake of two videotapes recently released on the internet that document multiple Navigators counseling Texas insurance consumers to continue to under-report their income to the Internal Revenue Service.

Hall’s complaint also noted that the videos suggest that Navigators, and other persons representing organizations under HSS contract, are coordinating their efforts with partisan groups associated with the Democrat Party, potentially constituting illegal activities.

Hall suggested that the TDI investigate the Navigator organizations to determine if they are violating state law, and if found to be doing so, forward that information to the appropriate law enforcement authorities.
