Exclusive -- McConnell: Tea Party 'Bullies' Who Need Punch in Nose

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said on a conference call organized by Karl Rove’s Crossroads organization for large donors and their advisers on Oct. 30 that the Tea Party movement, in his view, is a “nothing but a bunch of bullies” that he plans to “punch … in the nose.”

On the call, according to a donor who was on it, McConnell personally named Sens. Mike Lee (R-UT) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) as Tea Party conservatives he views as problematic for him. “The bulk of it was an attack on the Tea Party in general, Cruz in particular,” the source, a prominent donor, said in a phone interview with Breitbart News.

But the most memorable line came at the end of the call.

“McConnell said the Tea Party was ‘nothing but a bunch of bullies,’” the source said. “And he said ‘you know how you deal with schoolyard bullies? You punch them in the nose and that’s what we’re going to do.’”

Rove, as well as American Crossroads President and CEO Steven J. Law who also serves as the president of sister group Crossroads GPS, were also on the call. Rove “talked in a slightly gentler way, or let’s say, a more diplomatic way,” the source said. “But the message was pretty well the same: That if we’re going to save this thing, we have to back real Republicans.”

Democrats trigger ‘nuclear option’ to eliminate many filibusters

Senate Democrats on Thursday used the so-called “nuclear option” to change the chamber’s long-standing rules and eliminate filibusters of presidential nominees, in a move that could further erode whatever cooperative mood was left in Washington.
Republicans feverishly objected, warning Democrats that the chain reaction they set in motion would fundamentally change the Senate, but Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said the GOP forced his hand over the last month by blocking three of President Obama’s nominees to sit on the federal appeals court in Washington.

Texas Lieutenant Governor Candidate Dan Patrick Rated MOST CONSERVATIVE State Senator by Rice University's Mark P Jones

No Surprise here. State Senator Dan Patrick, candidate for Texas Lieutenant Governor, has been rated as the MOST conservative State Senator in all of Texas for the most recent 2013 legislative session.

Dan Patrick is vying in the March 2014 Republican Primary election to be the leader of the Texas State Senate, the LT Governor. In Texas, if you are going to run for statewide office, you have to at least be able to present yourself as super conservative. Dan Patrick does not have to just present himself as the most conservative in the Texas Senate. He IS the most conservative, at least that is according to Rice University's Mark P. Jones in his most recent ranking of Texas State Senators from the 2013 Texas Legislative Session.

Texas Navigators exposed in O'Keefe videos won't face government action

Lee Cary

It looks like the Obamacare navigators captured on videotape telling applicants to lie about their income by James O'Keefe's Project Veritas will face no consequences from any governmental authorities. Eric Holder's Department of Justice, which wouldn't prosecute club-wielding Black Panthers at polling places will obviously do nothing. And Texas state authorities, where the videotapes were made, claim to haveno jurisdiction over Navigator behavior in Texas.

If you call Governor Rick Perry's office, Lt. Governor David Dewhurst's office, Attorney General Greg Abbott's office, Speaker of the Texas House Joe Straus' office, Texas State Senator Jane Nelson's office - Chair of the Senate Health & Human Services, and a few other officials and ask if the State of Texas is preparing any official response to the actions of Navigators employed by organizations in Texas contracted by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), they'll perform a verbal shoulder shrug, or say someone will call back, but most don't.

But, if you call the TDI hot line several times, eventually you'll be lucky enough to reach someone in the Consumer Protection Division who takes the time to admit that the state has no jurisdiction, and give a clear explanation of why.

The Navigators are neither licensed by the TDI, nor are they subject to regulations that define their training, because there are no regulations, anywhere. Their primary Navigator qualification to give insurance advice to Obamacare clients is the ability to fog a mirror.

Department of Education civil rights investigators descend on a West Texas school

By Lee Cary

Recently, U.S. Department of Education officials visited a West Texas town to investigate its public schools.

The investigators were from the Education Department's (DoED) Office for Civil Rights (OCR).

"The mission of the Office for Civil Rights is to ensure equal access to education and to promote educational excellence throughout the nation through vigorous enforcement of civil rights."

The DoED Secretary is Arne Duncan - former CEO of the Chicago Public Schools, a basketball buddy of then Illinois Senator Barack Obama in Chicago, and the federal official featured in a  Washington Post November 16, 2013 article:

"U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan told a group of state schools superintendents Friday that he found it 'fascinating' that some of the opposition to the Common Core State Standards has come from 'white suburban moms who - all of a sudden - their child isn't as brilliant as they thought they were, and their school isn't quite as good as they thought they were.'"

Common Core State Standards have been adopted by 45 states and the District of Columbia. They've not been adopted by Texas. But, there is a struggle underway in the state concerning another Common Core-type progressive-driven initiative. More on that ahead.

Meanwhile, the political temperature in Texas is heating up in preparation for the 2014 midterm elections as operatives for the progressive campaign called Battleground Texas link-up with Obamacare Navigators to lay the groundwork to promote Democrat election victories across the state. James O'Keefe's third, and most recent, video chronicles coordination between the Navigators and Battleground Texas operatives.

'Guilty' Verdict Returned in Grisham Retrial

‘Guilty’ was the unanimous verdict delivered Tuesday afternoon by a Bell County jury in the Class B misdemeanor retrial of C.J. Grisham, the U.S. Army Master Sergeant charged with interfering with a peace officer while performing a duty. The retrial centered on a March 16 encounter during which Grisham reacted to Temple Police Officer Steve Ermis drawing his gun and holding it to the former combat veteran’s head while responding to a non-emergency call of a couple walking west on Airport Road, one specifically exhibiting non-aggressive behavior though reportedly carrying a gun.

Republican Challenger for Texas State Senate, District 2, files complaint against Navigators with Texas Department of Insurance

Today, Robert Lee “Bob” Hall, a challenger in the Republican primary for District 2, Texas State Senate, filed a complaint with the Texas Department of Insurance concerning ObamaCare Navigator organizations working in Texas under contract to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Hall’s complaint comes in the wake of two videotapes recently released on the internet that document multiple Navigators counseling Texas insurance consumers to continue to under-report their income to the Internal Revenue Service.

Hall’s complaint also noted that the videos suggest that Navigators, and other persons representing organizations under HSS contract, are coordinating their efforts with partisan groups associated with the Democrat Party, potentially constituting illegal activities.

Hall suggested that the TDI investigate the Navigator organizations to determine if they are violating state law, and if found to be doing so, forward that information to the appropriate law enforcement authorities.
