DHS employee spends spare time promoting race war against 'whites'

Posted August 23, 2013

A Department of Homeland Security manager in charge of buying weapons and ammunition for the government is, on the side, running an inflammatory website that throws around gay slurs and advocates the mass murder of "whites" and the "ethnic cleansing" of "Uncle Tom race traitors," according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Ayo Kimathi, who calls himself the “Irritated Genie,” told his supervisors that the website was set up to sell concert and lecture videos.

But the report showed the site's content strayed far beyond concert promotion, warning about a coming race war. His website, “War on the Horizon,” declares, “in order for Black people to survive the 21st century, we are going to have to kill a lot of whites – more than our Christian hearts can possibly count,” the Alabama-based SPLC said in its report

Report: Boehner Intends to Avoid Obamacare Defunding Fight

Posted August 23, 2013

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) reportedly hinted on a Thursday conference call with House Republicans that he intends to "move quickly" on a short-term resolution to fund the government before the September 30 deadline instead of threatening to shut down the government to defund Obamacare.

When Representatives return to Washington from the August recess, there will nine legislative days to hammer out an agreement before the current continuing resolution expires.

‘In Life, You’ve Got to Stand for Something’: Vet Refuses to Show ‘The Butler’ at His Movie Theater

Posted August 23, 2013

A Korean War veteran who has owned a movie theater in central Kentucky for more than three decades is refusing to run “The Butler” due to the anti-Vietnam War stance of one of its lead actresses.
Ike Boutwell, who opened MoviePalace and Showtime Cinemas in Elizabethtown in the 1980s, told the News-Enterprise that in all these years he has not, to his knowledge, let one movie with Jane Fonda play in his theater.

Not Good Internals for Mitch McConnell in Kentucky

Posted August 23, 2013

I am not sure I would have released the internal polling Mitch McConnell just released in Kentucky. He has it McConnell 68 and Matt Bevin at 21%

That superficially sounds good. But consider that this outperforms both Marco Rubio against Charlie Crist at this point in 2009 and Ted Cruz against David Dewhurst at this point in 2011. Likewise, consider that Matt Bevin’s name identification in Kentucky is minimal, while Mitch McConnell is the Senate Republican Leader.

UPDATE: I’m told Matt Bevin was at 9% back in May.

NC NAACP Pushing 'Christian Socialism'

Posted August 23, 2013

The NAACP of North Carolina has created a handbook for clergy to enable them to use Bible verses to promote what has been called "Christian Socialism."

The North Carolina chapter of the NAACP is a "lead organizer of the Moral Monday rallies," and Rev. William Barber, who is reportedly an "organizer and frequent keynote speaker," has often used the handbook to denounce Republicans in North Carolina's legislature for "trying to move the state backwards" by supporting issues like Voter ID laws, which North Carolina's governor recently signed into law.

Jihad against Egypt's Christians: The US must speak out

Posted August 22, 2013

In his recent book, "Fleeing Herod," the Australian writer James Cowan retraces the steps of the Holy Family's flight into Egypt following Joseph's dream warning him about Herod's intentions toward the infant Jesus.

Cowan admits in the prologue that current events in Egypt made him even more conscious of Egypt's history and "the millennia of knowledge embodied in its sands."

Cowan's guide on his journey is a fourth-century text written by a Coptic Pope, Theophilus of Alexandria, entitled "The Visions of Theophilus." Along the way he meets monks, nuns, pilgrims and the then-Coptic Pope.

Whether or not we believe the fourth century reference of Mary being under an Egyptian tree, Coptic belief is undeniable: "Egypt [is] central to the birth of Christianity."

Thus, Christians must be concerned about what is happening to Coptic Christians today.

Gallup: Unemployment Rate Jumps from 7.7% to 8.9% In 30 Days

Posted August 22, 2013

Outside of the federal government's Bureau of Labor statistics, the Gallup polling organization also tracks the nation's unemployment rate. While the BLS and Gallup findings might not always perfectly align, the trends almost always do and the small statistical differences just haven't been worthy of note. But now Gallup is showing a sizable 30 day jump in the unemployment rate, from 7.7% on July 21 to 8.9% today.

The Democrats' Anti-Gun Manual Exposed

Posted August 22, 2013

A shocking new report reveals a deliberate plan by Democrats to exploit incidents of gun violence to their advantage.  As Rahm Emanuel said, "You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before."  In other words, forget the facts of cases, the circumstances surrounding them, or even the victims themselves; just take advantage of circumstances and current events to push your agenda.  Or, as the manual puts it: "The most powerful time to communicate is when concern and emotions are running at their peak."

Regarding the issue of gun control, the Democrats are prepared; they published an 80-page manual titled "Preventing Gun Violence Through Effective Messaging" that instructs users on how to exploit the emotions resulting from horrific incidents to attack the National Rifle Association (NRA), supporters of the Second Amendment, and gun owners -- ways to take advantage of events to get around the constitutional right to bear arms.

Socialists Designed Obama's Credit Watchdog Agency

Posted August 22, 2013

Socialist activists and their front groups played a shockingly outsized role shaping and passing the monumental financial reform legislation that authorized the creation of President Obama's powerful consumer credit watchdog agency.

Their intimate involvement is revealed in a new book, "Financial Justice: The People's Campaign to Stop Lender Abuse," which offers a rare, if biased, behind-the-scenes look at the anti-bank movement's multimillion-dollar lobbying effort in support of the Dodd-Frank Act.

ObamaCare's Latest Outrage

Posted August 22, 2013

Health Reform: Thousands of UPS workers have found out what's actually in that Obama-Care package Democrats shipped out in 2010. Their company decided to drop coverage for spouses to avoid the law's added costs.

President Obama has been claiming lately that most of his signature law is already in place, and that all the fuss about delays and premium hikes is over parts of the law that don't go into effect until next year and are relevant only to the small share of uninsured.

"For the 85% to 90% of Americans who already have health insurance," he says, "they don't have to worry about anything else."

Tell that to the 15,000 UPS workers who recently learned that the shipping giant is dropping coverage for husbands and wives who can get insurance from another employer.

A chief reason for the change? The added costs ObamaCare is imposing, including the mandate that plans cover children up to age 26, its ban on lifetime spending limits, and the $65 in ObamaCare fees that will be imposed on every enrollee starting next year.

San Antonio Ordinance to be Heard Wednesday, Still a Major Threat To Christians

Posted August 23, 2013 ~ Texas Values Update

The San Antonio City Council, Mayor Castro, and LGBT activists are now getting desperate in their effort to pass their so called “non-discrimination” ordinance – an ordinance that is better described as a direct attack on Christians and people of faith in San Antonio. With over 22,000 messages to the San Antonio City Council being sent by concerned Texans and local opposition in San Antonio among Churches and local citizens continuing to build, the more the ordinance and its true intentions are exposed, the more citizens are willing to stand up for their rights.

The City Council has already been forced to recognize the blatant religious discrimination of this proposed ordinance and has attempted to change the ordinance and introduce new drafts to push back and mislead the growing opposition. But simply removing one discriminatory and unconstitutional section does not change the fact that there are still serious religious freedom, constitutional, and practical problems with the ordinance. Read our analysis of the 5 major problems of the ordinance.

Be Heard: The City Council is expected to take up the proposed ordinance for the first time next Wednesday, August 28. If you are in the San Antonio area, please make plans to be at City Hall. The City Council meeting starts at 2 pm, followed by your opportunity to have your voice heard at the Citizens to be Heard Session at 6 pm (you can sign up early for the Citizens to be Heard Session online on the 28th here). We encourage you to attend both meetings.

Tim Lambert Endorses Konni Burton

Posted August 22, 2013

Today Tim Lambert, former Republican National Committeeman for Texas, gave his endorsement to Konni Burton’s campaign for Texas Senate District 10.

Lambert announced his endorsement saying, “Konni Burton understands the importance of fighting for our children and the rights of their parents. We share a common priority, the education of our youth. I know Konni will stand strong for Texas values and making education better for each and every Texan. Konni has the moral foundation to be a leader in the Texas Senate. She is an experienced business woman, adoptive mother, committed Christian and she has my full support.”

Burton responded to Tim Lambert’s endorsement, saying, “I am very grateful for Tim’s words of support. My commitment to fighting for our children, their education and the rights of parents in the Senate is a priority. The race for Senate District 10 is just getting started, but already the momentum for our campaign is tremendous.”

David Dewhurst Calls Police To Try & Free Relative

Posted August 22, 2013

ALLEN (CBSDFW.COM)  - Did the Lieutenant Governor of Texas try to use his title to persuade local police after a relative was arrested?

The Allen Police Department says the case was handled just like any other case.

On August 3rd, four hours after Ellen Bevers was arrested at an Allen grocery store for allegedly shoplifting more than $50 worth of items, the Allen Police Department received a call from Bevers’ uncle — Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst.

In an audio recording of the phone call CBS 11 News obtained from the Allen Police Department, Dewhurst could be heard saying, “This is David Dewhurst, the Lieutenant Governor of the State of Texas, and I want to talk to your senior officer who is there at your department right now.”

Konni Burton Racking Up Tea Party Endorsements

Posted August 20, 2013

Today, Konni Burton continued to establish herself as the clear alternative to Wendy Davis in announcing strong support from conservative activists across Texas, largely from inside Senate District 10.

Janna Easton endorsed Konni saying, “Konni Burton is one of the hardest workers in the conservative movement. I couldn’t be more excited about her run for SD10. Conservatives are united behind her, and we’re ready to win in March and fire Wendy Davis in November!”

Allan Solmon endorsed Konni Burton saying, “I’m proud to endorse Konni. As a personal friend and someone who’s been in the political trenches with her for a number of years, I can think of no one better to send to Austin to fight for Texas values.”

Toby Marie Walker endorsed Konni saying, “While Wendy Davis has been busy raising money in Washington D.C., buddying up to lobbyists and the likes of Nancy Pelosi, Konni has been hard at work on the campaign trail. This race won’t be bought by outside money but by voters motivated to defend the sanctity of life and economic freedom. That’s why I am proud to endorse Konni Burton for Senate.”

AFL-CIO to make major unionization push in Texas

Posted August 19, 2013

Texas was the very first state in the union to pass a “right to work” law making it illegal for union contracts to mandate that all of a company’s workers join a union or at least pay dues to one.

It did this in 1943, four years before Congress passed the Taft-Hartley Act, affirming states could pass such laws. Texas remains synonymous with Big Business conservatism today.

Nevertheless, the AFL-CIO apparently thinks the ground has shifted in the Lone Star State enough to make a serious organizing push there worthwhile.

U.S. Amnesty Shelters Revealed: Law Enforcement Ordered to Stand Down (Video)

Posted August 19, 2013

El Paso, Texas -- The El Paso Rescue Mission shelter stands approximately 100 yards from the U.S./Mexico border. Border Patrol agents have been ordered by their higher-ups not to go there and enforce U.S. laws on the property, according to the Vice President of the Local 1929 Border Patrol Council, Stu Harris.

Konni Burton Slams Wendy Davis on Abortion

Posted August 15, 2013

It’s time for Texans to take back the conversation about the right to life in Texas. Wendy Davis would like you to think her far-left crusade is about women’s rights, but in reality Wendy and her allies purposely ignore the thousands of women who can never be heard.

On the issue of life, there can be no question. Wendy Davis can try to raise her profile and dredge up D.C. dollars by defending the barbaric practice of late-term abortion, but that’s never going to reflect the values of Texas. What’s more, Wendy knows it. I’m ready to do battle with Wendy Davis on every issue, but I’m asking you to share the video below with your friends and family today. It’s important we inform Wendy Davis that Texans stand for life – not with Wendy. ~ Konni Burton

Empower Texans Releases Their Fiscal Responsibility Index Rating Texas State Legislators

Posted August 15, 2013

Empower Texans Must See Fiscal Responsibility Index RatingThe Fiscal Responsibility Index is a measurement of how lawmakers perform on size and role of government issues. Texans for Fiscal Responsibility uses exemplar votes on core budget and free enterprise issues that demonstrate legislators’ governing philosophy.

TEA Party 911 Editor's Note: This is an excellent tool to gauge how your State Representative or Senator rated on fiscal issues. An example is District 10 Representative Jim Pitts who rated an abysmal 29.7 out of a possible 100. If I was in District 10, I would be diligently seeking a replacement for Pitts.

See how your Representative or Senator rated at Empower Texans: http://www.empowertexans.com/index/
