DHS Insider: Obama’s cyber warriors & preparing for collapse

Posted February 9, 2013 - by Doug Hagmann

The following information was provided to me by my DHS contact on two different occasions. Information from my first contact was previously published in two parts (here). I was asked to withhold the final portion of the information that was provided to me at that time until after the inauguration. The following resumes where part II left off. At the request of this source and for the sake of continuity, the following combines the information withheld and the information from our most recent contact on 4 February 2013.

Ex-Texas GOP Chairman: Rove Was in ‘Anti-Reagan Faction’

By February 9, 2013

Former Texas Republican State Chairman and ex-Reagan administration official Tom Pauken has released this statement on Karl Rove:

Karl Rove campaigned in 1980 against Ronald Reagan and for George Herbert Walker Bush in the Republican presidential primary in Texas. In the general election, I never heard at the time that Karl was running the Reagan campaign in our state. Karl was working for Gov. Clements, but the Reagan leaders in Texas were Ray Barnhart and Ernie Angelo. I knew most of the Reagan leaders around the state, and Karl was not part of that group and was viewed by the Reaganites as being part of the anti-Reagan faction in our state.

Dereliction of Duty: Obama Did Nothing to Save American Lives in Benghazi--and Lied About It

Posted February 8, 2013

Nothing. That is what President Barack Obama did on the night of September 11, 2012, as terrorists attacked the U.S. consulate in Benghazi and killed four Americans, among them Ambassador Christopher Stevens. President Obama’s inaction was revealed in testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee on Thursday by outgoing Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta and Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin Dempsey.

Under direct questioning by Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH), Panetta admitted that he had no communication with President Obama after their “pre-scheduled” meeting at 5:00 p.m. EDT. The attack on the consulate had already been under way for 90 minutes at that time. Neither the president nor anyone else from the White House called afterwards to check what was happening; the Commander-in-Chief had left it “up to us,” said Panetta.

Panetta’s testimony directly contradicts President Obama’s own claim to have issued “three direectives” as soon as he learned “what was going on” in Benghazi. As he told a Denver reporter in October:

Levin to Rove: ‘Bring it on, Karl baby. Bring it on, doughboy. Bring on your little whiteboard’ [AUDIO]

Posted February 8, 2013

The back-and-forth verbal jabs between former Bush White House deputy chief of staff Karl Rove, his deputies at American Crossroads and some of the conservative movement's so-called "critically important figures" took another intense turn on Mark Levin's radio show on Thursday, with Iowa Republican Rep. Steve King entering the fray.

"[L]et me put something to you folks about Karl Rove — what a propagandist this man is," Levin said at the end of his program. "He keeps bringing up Christine O'Donnell. Karl Rove has lost more races that he's been involved in than Christine O'Donnell. She has lost one. Rove has lost scores. And as soon as she was nominated, he went on TV on the 'Hannity' show and started smearing her."

Karl Rove 'The Architect'

A current beckons the Texas Tea Party Movement

Posted February 7, 2013
Lee Cary

The Texas Tea Party defies Karl Rove and establishment Republicans and suggests a possible primary challenge to Senator John Cornyn.

There is a tide in the affairs of men.
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures.

(Julius Caesar, Act 4, Scene 3)

The Tea Party movement in Texas is afloat on a full sea of political affairs, one that encompasses the nation, and must take the current and back a challenger to the re-election of incumbent Republican Senator John Cornyn in 2014.

Senator Ted Cruz Needs Our Help!

Senator Cruz Needs Our Help!

Re-Posted February 9, 2013

Time-sensitive!  Due by Monday, February 11!

U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Human Rights

US Senator Ted Cruz needs your help!

The Senate committee listed above will take up the subject of "Proposals to Reduce Gun Violence: Protecting Our Communities While Respecting the Second Amendment" next Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Senator Cruz is the Ranking Member of this subcommittee.

Senator Ted Cruz is asking for your help.

Please submit your thoughts for Sen.Cruz and the committee to consider in the form of a formal letter to the committee which makes either a pro 2nd Amendment argument or a tells a short, compelling, personal story about how you exercised your 2nd Amendment rights in a positive way, such as in defense of yourself, your family, your business, or how you scared off a robber.

Please submit your stories and statements in MS Word, well-written and clear. Then send as an attachment to the email address of Senator Cruz's staff below.

Statements must be received by Monday in order to be helpful. Your statement could be submitted into the Congressional Record.

Senator Dick Durbin is the Chairman of the subcommittee and prides himself on carrying in a large stack of statements from the other side to showcase and submit into the record.

Texas Senator Cruz would like to be ready to respond in kind.

Our Grassroots America Executive Director JoAnn Fleming will send in a formal statement on behalf of our organization; however, Senator Ted Cruz needs help from all of you to help him battle back those who will keep working until they make gun ownership and the Second Amendment toxic.  They will work overtime to shame Americans into silence.  We will resist.

Please share this email with any and all Texans who have a story to tell.

Texas: NRA – Backed Bills Under Consideration in the Lone Star State

Texas NRA Update Posted February 9, 2013

The 2013 session of the Texas Legislature is underway and multiple firearm-related bills have been introduced.  Below are some of the highlights so far this session.

House Bill 47 authored by Representative Dan Flynn (R-Van) would lower the current hours required for the initial Concealed Handgun License course from 10 hours to not less than 4 or more than 6, not to include time on the shooting range. Only 6& states out of 39 require more classroom hours than Texas.

House Bill 508 authored by Representative Ryan Guillen (D-Rio Grande City) would add protections to your right to carry and eliminate confusion by imposing a fine for the improper posting of the PC 30.06 sign at locations not listed as off-limits in statute, excluding private property.

House Bill 698 authored by Representative Drew Springer (R-Muenster) would alleviate the burden on people applying for a CHL by only requiring applicants to submit digital or electronic fingerprints if a facility with the capability to process those fingerprints exists within a 25-mile radius of the applicant’s residence address. This would eliminate CHLs driving hundreds of miles to the closest L-1 printing franchise.

House Bill 700 by Representative George Lavender (R-Texarkana) would allow a person with a Texas concealed handgun license to have the option of carrying concealed or openly holstered.  Expect a committee substitute to create a sign for use by private property owners not wishing to restrict those carrying concealed.

Senate Bill 182 and House Bill 972 authored by Senator Brian Birdwell (R-Granbury) and Representative Allen Fletcher (R-Cypress), respectively, would allow adult concealed handgun licensees to protect themselves in buildings and facilities located on the campus of a public college or university. This legislation was previously reported here by the NRA-ILA.

Senate Bill 299 authored by Senator Craig Estes (R-Wichita Falls) would protect against inadvertent or accidental display of a handgun by a Concealed Handgun Licensee.
