Rove Declares War on Tea Party

Posted January 4, 2013

The battle for the heart and soul of the Republican Party has begun. On one side is the Tea Party. On the other side stand Karl Rove and his establishment team, posing as tacticians while quietly undermining conservatism.

Yesterday, the New York Timesreported that the “biggest donors in the Republican Party” have joined forces with Karl Rove and Steven J. Law, president of American Crossroads, to create the Conservative Victory Project. The Times reports that this new group will dedicate itself to “recruit seasoned candidates and protect Senate incumbents from challenges by far-right conservatives and Tea Party enthusiasts who Republican leaders worry could complicate the party’s effort to win control of the Senate.” The group points to candidates like Christine O’Donnell in Delaware and Richard Mourdock in Indiana as examples of Tea Party primary picks going sideways in major Senatorial battles.

Thank God for American Crossroads and the Conservative Victory Project

Posted February 4, 2013 by Erick Erickson (RedState)

American Crossroads is creating a new Super PAC to crush conservatives, destroy the tea party, and put a bunch of squishes in Republican leadership positions. Thank God they are behind this. In 2012, they spent hundreds of millions of rich donors’ money and had jack to show for it.

It is interesting though. The people who brought us No Child Left Behind, Medicare Part D, TARP, the GM bailout, Harriet Miers, etc., etc., etc. are really hacked off that people have been rejecting them. In 2012, about the only successful Republican candidates were the ones who directly rejected the legacy of these people.

So now they will up their game. They don’t like being shut out. They blame the tea party and conservatives for their failure to win primaries. They’ll now try to match conservatives and, in the process, call themselves conservatives.

I dare say any candidate who gets this group’s support should be targeted for destruction by the conservative movement. They’ve made it really easy not to figure out who the terrible candidates will be in 2014.

South Carolina Bill Exempts Unorganized Militia From Federal Gun Grab

Posted February 4, 2013

As the United Nations and the Obama administration combine to outlaw private ownership of weapons and ammunition, state and local leaders nationwide are responding to the crisis.

As The New American continues to report, sheriffs, county commissions, and state legislators are passing bills aimed at stopping the federal gun grab at their sovereign borders.

On January 16, four South Carolina state senators joined the fight to protect the Second Amendment and to safeguard their citizens from federal tyranny.

Senate Bill 247 is sponsored by state Senators Tom Corbin, Tom Davis, Kevin Bryant, and Lee Bright. Although only four senators currently sponsor the bill, sources inside the South Carolina House of Representatives report that a companion measure will soon be offered in that chamber, as well.

Tea Party Favorite Steve King '50/50' On Senate Bid

Posted February 4, 2013

Tea party favorite and veteran Iowa congressman Steve King says he is "fifty-fifty" on whether he will run for the senate seat vacated by retiring Tom Harkin.

King appeared on Mornings on the Mall on WMAL-FM in Washington DC with me and co-host Brian Wilson last week. King has long been a favorite of the tea party movement and has supported them at all times.  He supported this site's founder, Andrew Breitbart, when he called the Congressional Black Caucus' claim of racial epithets from tea party protesters during Obamacare protests lies.

Armed Guard Stops School Shooter After He Opened Fire at Atlanta Middle School

Posted February 2, 2013

ATLANTA (AP) — A student opened fire at his middle school Thursday afternoon, wounding a 14-year-old in the neck before an armed officer working at the school was able to get the gun away, police said.

Multiple shots were fired in the courtyard of Price Middle School just south of downtown about 1:50 p.m. and the one boy was hit, Atlanta Police Chief George Turner said. In the aftermath, a teacher received minor cuts, he said.

The wounded boy was taken “alert, conscious and breathing” to Grady Memorial Hospital, said police spokesman Carlos Campos. Grady Heath System Spokeswoman Denise Simpson said the teen had been discharged from the hospital Thursday night. Campos said charges against the shooter were pending.

The site’s co-founder, Tea Party activist Ken Crow, told Fox News that The Tea Party Community will be the “new home for conservatives and the Tea Party movement in America.”

“Most of us are subjected to censorship on Facebook…I’ve been suspended there as have many of my friends. You also absorb a lot of abuse from liberals,” Crow said.

The Most Dangerous Liberals in Texas

Posted January 4, 2013 - by George Rodriguez

While many Texas conservatives continue to focus on national issues, the two most dangerous liberals in the state, U.S. Congressman Joaquin Castro and San Antonio Mayor Julian Castor are laying the foundation to take over the state and to ascend to higher political office.

Last Sunday, (January 27, 2013) the Castro brothers were interviewed on CBS’ “Face the Nation” and predicted to a national TV audience that within two presidential election cycles, Texas would be dominated by the Democrats. “It's changing. It's going to become a 'purple state' then a 'blue state' because of the demographics, because of the population from folks coming from outside Texas,” Julián Castro said. Joaquín Castro agreed, but added that “it's going to take a lot of work from Democrats to lay the infrastructure for change. We are very busy working on that now.”

The key to the Castro’s vision and plan is “the demographics”. Their mother, Rosa Castro, was a member of the radical Raza Unida Party (RUP) in the 1970s which preached that America and Texas were the products of imperial aggression and colonialism imposed on Mexicans. Racial politics and “Chicano nationalism” are at the heart of their politics. Rosa Castro once stated that the defenders of the Alamo were “a bunch of drunks”.
The Castros now have a major ally in the Democratic Party. Henry Muñoz, a long time liberal fund political fund raiser in San Antonio, has been named chairman of the Party’s Finance Committee. Munoz's promotion shows that all the talk about taking Texas over is going a priority for the national Democratic Party. Since Munoz is already deeply involved in Texas Democratic Party politics, he can help fundraise nationally and help in ensuring Texas Democrats have funding for their state and local races in particular.

If you want to know how Mayor Castro governs, just look at the Texas Comptroller’s report on local debt from December 2012.  San Antonio has the highest per capita debt among major Texas cities, even leading Houston. In November, Castro pushed through a Pre-kinder education program for 4 year olds which carries a long term debt for tax payers.
Castro and VIA, chaired by Munoz, have also embarked on a streetcar project that will cost tax payers an estimated $790 million.

Castor also recently appointed a homosexual liaison to city government. These are just a few of the “indicators” of what is to come if the Castro twins continue unchallenged, and succeed.

The Castros come from the Saul Alinsky school of community organizing, similar to President Obama. They also come from a non-traditional home where they have been taught that the world’s poor are victims of capitalism, imperialism, and racism. If you like Barak Hussein Obama, you will love the Castro twins.

Voters in San Antonio, Bexar County and throughout Texas should sit up and take notice of the Castros and organize to stop them. They truly are the most dangerous liberals in Texas.

Can You Beat Goliath with $350?

Posted February 2, 2013 - RagingElephants.org

The special election for the Texas Senate District 6 really drove home some strong points for us at RagingElephants.org.  For quite some time, we have been saying that if the grassroots are not able to neutralize the financial pipeline of the Establishment and plutocrats that the dream of toppling their corrupt power would never come to fruition.  The SD6 race gave us another harsh and painful lesson in this unavoidable truth.

As reported by the Texas Tribune, our candidate and the only true conservative in the race, R.W. Bray, raised a whopping $350 for the month of January.  Meanwhile, the two socialist Democrats advancing to the runoff election spent a combined total of $615,000 with donations coming from Establishment Republicans.  This is utterly shameful!

Questions & Answers About Texas Independence

Posted February 2, 2013

There are many questions regarding Texas independence that come up often and need to be addressed in order to separate fact from fiction. The Texas Nationalist Movement led by Daniel Miller has put together a compilation of those questions and the answers to them and we will be posting them here for your convenience.

Weren't there irregularities in the annexation of Texas?

Yes. Texas was a recognized foreign nation at the time of annexation. The proper constitutional procedure for dealing with foreign nations is by treaty. The treaty of annexation, ratified by the Senate of the Republic of Texas, was not ratified by the United States Senate. The United States Congress passed a Joint Resolution of Annexation which was offered to the Republic of Texas. It was accepted by the convention and put to a vote of the people of Texas. While assent to the agreement is consistent with the laws and Constitution of the Republic of Texas, there are those who assert that the annexation of Texas was an unconstitutional act by the Federal Government. In addition, the Supreme Court’s dicta in Texas v. White regarding “indestructible states” and the lack of a severability clause in the agreement lead others to say that any enforcement of Texas v. White invalidates the annexation agreement altogether.

CSCOPE Hearing Analysis

Posted February 1, 2013

by Donna Garner

Today’s Texas Senate Education Committee hearing  on CSCOPE was amazing. I watched the proceedings online from 8:30 A. M. until it finished around 3:15 P. M., and I took notes as fast as I could type. These may not be word-for-word, but I trust that I have captured the essence of the hearing.

Texas Senator Dan Patrick led the hearing, and these are the Senators who worked alongside him to question the witnesses:  Donna Campbell, Larry Taylor, Eddie Lucio, Robert Duncan, Ken Paxton, and Kel Seliger.  (As best I could tell from online viewing, Royce West and Leticia Van de Putte did not attend the hearing.)

What thrilled me is that all of us private citizens who have dug out the truth about CSCOPE and who have been vilified for our efforts were vindicated today because the evidence presented proved we were right all along.
