Patriotic Group To Build Armed 'Defensible' Neighborhood Fortress

Posted January 14, 2013

A group of like-minded patriots, bound together by pride in American exceptionalism, plan on building an armed community to protect their liberty.

The group, named Citadel, intends to purchase 2,000 to 3,000 acres for the project in western Idaho.  The community will comprise of 3,500 to 7,000 families of patriotic Americans who "voluntarily choose to live together in accordance with Thomas Jefferson's ideal of Rightful Liberty."

According to the Citadel website, Rightful Liberty means that "neighbors keep their noses out of other neighbors' business, that neighbors live and let live."

Citadel explains that residents in the community will be bound by the following:

  • Patriotism
  • Pride in American Exceptionalism
  • Our proud history of Liberty as defined by our Founding Fathers, and
  • Physical preparedness to survive and prevail in the face of natural catastrophes --such as Hurricanes Sandy or Katrina -- or man-made catastrophes such as a power grid failure or economic collapse.

Residents should also agree that being "prepared for the emergencies of life and being proficient with the American icon of Liberty -- the Rifle -- are prudent measures." Read More...

President Obama’s Sandy Hook speech turned into a pro-life video

Posted January 14, 2013

President Obama delivered an emotional speech about protecting America’s children in December in response to the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut.

But the producers at Blackstone Films have turned that speech into a remarkable video to reflect on the duty of Americans to protect our nation’s unborn children. It’s a very powerful video that is sure to spark some controversy.

Australia's Wayne Swan Blames TEA Party for Global Economic Woes

Posted January 14, 2013

WAYNE Swan has blamed the conservative Tea Party movement in the US for damaging the global economy and contributing to the “whack” to Australia’s budget position that has ruined Labor’s planned 2012-13 surplus.

The Acting Prime Minister and Treasurer used Twitter yesterday to warn that the looming fiscal cliff in the US, coupled with the European debt crisis, had directly affected Australia by reducing tax receipts, thus undermining next year’s budget surplus. Read More...

911 Alert for Texas: URGENT: Please Call Your Texas State Rep. - Support Bill Zedler's Rules Changes!

The vote is expected today!

January 14, 2013

Call to Action:

Contact your local Texas House Reps to support proposal by Rep. Bill Zedler (R) Arlington to amend the House Rules as follows:

a. No Committee Chairmen could serve on the Calendars Committee. The Calendars Committee basically controls what legislation is brought up for a 'floor vote;' and

b. If a measure has 76 or more co-authors the Calendars Committee must submit it to the House Floor for an up or down vote within 7 to 10 days. By the way a similar provision is in place in the U. S. House of Representatives. It is called a 'bill of petition.'

Corruption under the existing rules during the last session caused several liberty-minded bills that had broad popular support to never see the 'light of day.' Although the Anti-TSA Groping Bill did finally reach the House Floor towards the end of the 82nd General Session, it's pace, to say the least, was 'leisurely.'

These House Rules reforms will be voted on sometime between this Thursday, January 10 through Monday, January 14 on the floor of the House. Let's immediately contact our local Texas House lawmakers and insist that they vote for these changes. This will 'decentralize' the powers that currently reside exclusively with the House Speaker and that will 'serve as a wall' against future corruption of the legislative process.

NE Tarrant Tea Party’s Citizen Lobbyist Program

Posted January 14th, 2013

There is NO better way to influence our State Reps than to be there in person!  And so that’s exactly what NE Tarrant Tea Party plans to do…  send patriots into the Capitol Building every week during the legislative session to influence our State Reps.

And we’ve got a great kickoff event planned for January 23 – make sure to read all the way down for details about that!

  • We will head to Austin every Wednesday with a trip leader and at least one other person.
  • You choose what Wednesday(s) you can go and sign up that week.
  • NETTP will cover the cost of transportation and lunch.
  • Participants offer their time and effort, and any other personal expenses such as snacks, dinner, etc.
  • NETTP will provide White Sheets for citizen lobbyists to hand out to key State Reps.
  • This is new to all of us, so our roles will become more defined as we go!  Don’t let inexperience (or intimidation!) stop you.  After all, it’s YOUR Capitol Building!
  • Lobbyists will be identified as NETTP members via printed nametags.
  • Professional dress and respectful conduct is required.
  • NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.  We absolutely mean that.  Training is provided!
  • We also are looking for researchers who can help us with our White Sheets.
  • We also are building our postcard brigade to coincide with our lobbying efforts.

Our HUGE kickoff is Wednesday, January 23!  In fact, it’s such a great agenda that we are hoping even NETTP members who are not going to become Citizen Lobbyists will decide to join us.  Here’s the plan:

  • Depart DFW 5:30am; arrive Austin around 9:00am
  • Depart Austin 4:30pm; arrive DFW around 8:00pm
  • Personal meeting with Lt Gov David Dewhurst
  • Personal meeting with Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson
  • Personal meetings with State Reps Jonathan Stickland and Giovanni Capriglione (and likely Stephanie Klick and Matt Krause)
  • Private tour of Capitol – including sites not always covered!
  • Training for lobbyists
  • Introductory visits to State Rep offices throughout the Capitol

So now it’s time for YOU to decide how YOU will be involved.  Please email heyjuliesue@gmail.com with one or more of the following responses:

  • I want to be a Citizen Lobbyist w/ NETTP.
  • I plan to attend the kickoff event on Jan 23.
  • I will be a researcher for the NETTP Citizen Lobbyist program.
  • I will serve on the postcard brigade for the NETTP Citizen Lobbyist program.
  • I will donate scholarship money to NETTP to help Citizen Lobbyists get to Austin.

NETTP has a good reputation in Austin as being a group to be reckoned with.  We must build that reputation… and confirm it!  This is, perhaps, one of the most important endeavors we have ever taken on.  So come learn with us as we go…  if you are a citizen, we need you as a Citizen Lobbyist! Early Voting Under Way in the Special Election for Texas Senate District 6

Posted January 12, 2013

R.W. BrayDay one of the Texas Senate District 6 Special Election was astounding.  There were a total of 328 votes cast from all the early voting locations and mail-in as reported by the office of the county clerk.

Only 288 people actually walked into a polling place on Wednesday. 40 votes were cast by mail-in.

Over the 12-day early voting period, an average of 328 votes would put the total of votes cast below 4,000! More votes are cast in races for president of the student body.

There are just under 250,000 registered voters in this district! Despite the socialist Dems flooding television with ads, this race is under the radar. Whoever is able to inform their voters and get them to the polls, will be the victor.

There is only one conservative in the race and that is R.W. Bray. We need to rally the troops and do what we can to help R.W. Bray win this race.

Will you be in Austin Tuesday?
If so, Stop the Magnet needs your help!
