Introduced HB 655 Relating to determining eligibility for indigent health care.

Captain Taylor has been awarded the Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation, and the Navy Commendation Medal with “V” for valor.  Van led the first platoon into Iraq for his brigade prior to the main invasion and led a mission that rescued 31 wounded Marines during the pitched Battle of An Nasiriyah.

Through his years of business experience and his MBA from Harvard Business School, Van knows first-hand that excessive taxation, abusive litigation, and burdensome regulation threaten small businesses, our primary source of Texas jobs.

Tea Party Candidates Supported

TeaParty911.com salutes the “Texas 15” who stood on principle rather than politics in House Speaker race. Even though Straus was re-elected to the position of Texas Speaker of the House, the Representatives in this video demonstrated the courage to stand firm in the face of overwhelming odds. The courage to stand on principle is exactly what the Tea Party is all about and it is for that very reason that many Tea Party groups across Texas support these men and women.

“In whatever arena of life one may meet the challenge of courage, whatever may be the sacrifices he faces if he follows his conscience – the loss of his friends, his fortune, his contentment, even the esteem of his fellow men – each man must decide for himself the course he will follow. The stories of past courage can define that ingredient – they can teach, they can offer hope, they can provide inspiration. But they cannot supply courage itself. For this each man must look into his own soul.” - from Profiles in Courage
