James White Retires "Tuffy"!!

Congratulation Representative White!

Down goes "Tuffy"! One of the biggest personal losses to Straus was committee chairman Mike "Tuffy" Hamilton to State Rep. James White. (Mr. White had defeated a Straus Democratic chairman in November 2010.) This 2012 election was a wild race by design, starting with Rep. White's district being radically altered in redistricting. Then, Hamilton specifically moved into the new district to challenge the strongly conservative White.

Why was the race personal for Straus? You see, the Speaker has counted on Hamilton to continue carrying the water on expanding gambling – benefitting the Straus family in the process.

(Unofficial Election Results)

With redistricting, the lines and counties have changed for the 2012 Campaign and 2013 Legislative session. James White is now in District 19 representing Tyler, Polk, Jasper, Newton and Hardin Counties. Until the end of 2012 though, James will continue to represent Angelina, Trinity and San Jacinto Counties.

TEAParty911.com Founder Endorses James White

“James White is one of the good guys and is one of the most conservative voices in the Texas House of Representatives. Representative White showed that he was a principled man when he stood against Joe Straus for the Texas Speaker of the House and that alone gains my respect, but his conservative credentials are off the charts. Without hesitation I fully endorse James White for Representative of Texas House District 19.” ~ Michael Kinzie, TEAParty911.com Founder

HB 458  Relating to exempting a school district from the obligation to comply with certain unfunded state educational mandates.

The time for political calculation, procrastination, and stagnation has yielded to the fierce urgency of now. The 21st century presents a new set of challenges. This demands a new generation of leadership, accountable for its actions, possessed with boldness, armed with common sense, and tempered with humility, to step forward and seize the mantle of responsibility and answer the call to service,” stated James White.

We need first-class schools. We must have 21st century futuristic communication technology in order to provide high quality education, to compete globally, to use our environment wisely, and enjoy the opportunities of wholesome entertainment.

Tea Party Candidates Supported

TeaParty911.com salutes the “Texas 15” who stood on principle rather than politics in House Speaker race. Even though Straus was re-elected to the position of Texas Speaker of the House, the Representatives in this video demonstrated the courage to stand firm in the face of overwhelming odds. The courage to stand on principle is exactly what the Tea Party is all about and it is for that very reason that many Tea Party groups across Texas support these men and women.

“In whatever arena of life one may meet the challenge of courage, whatever may be the sacrifices he faces if he follows his conscience – the loss of his friends, his fortune, his contentment, even the esteem of his fellow men – each man must decide for himself the course he will follow. The stories of past courage can define that ingredient – they can teach, they can offer hope, they can provide inspiration. But they cannot supply courage itself. For this each man must look into his own soul.” - from Profiles in Courage
