"As many of you already know, the opportunity for me to continue as your State Representative has been foreclosed due to redistricting. However, I still wish to serve the people of East Texas. Due to a retirement, there is an opportunity to serve as a district judge. Therefore, I have decided to run for Judge of the 62nd Judicial District made up of Delta, Franklin, Hopkins and Lamar counties. This district needs a good conservative judge with a constructionist approach to applying rather than rewriting the law." ~ Erwin Cain

Erwin Cain - Tea Party Supported Representative in Texas House District 3.
The district may change according to the redistricting map to be adopted.

He has demonstrated strength and courage in his battle to stand like a rock in the face of influence from the left.

Tea Party Candidates Supported

TeaParty911.com salutes the “Texas 15” who stood on principle rather than politics in House Speaker race. Even though Straus was re-elected to the position of Texas Speaker of the House, the Representatives in this video demonstrated the courage to stand firm in the face of overwhelming odds. The courage to stand on principle is exactly what the Tea Party is all about and it is for that very reason that many Tea Party groups across Texas support these men and women.

“In whatever arena of life one may meet the challenge of courage, whatever may be the sacrifices he faces if he follows his conscience – the loss of his friends, his fortune, his contentment, even the esteem of his fellow men – each man must decide for himself the course he will follow. The stories of past courage can define that ingredient – they can teach, they can offer hope, they can provide inspiration. But they cannot supply courage itself. For this each man must look into his own soul.” - from Profiles in Courage
